Themed Day

Dear Parents and Caregivers

This term, Year 3/4 has been studying the British Colonisation of Australia. In order for students to gain a sense of what life would have been like as an early settler, students will participate in a themed day on Thursday 23rd June 2011.

To help enhance this concept, students are encouraged to come dressed as a convict, a free settler, a British Officer or any other person from the early settlement period. Remember, Op Shops can be a great source of inspiration when creating costumes.

If unable to dress-up for the day, please wear your school uniform.

Spelling City

Today my spelling group visited the Spelling City website. This is a great website where students are able to practise their weekly spelling words.
If you would like to use this website at home, go to www.spellingcity.com. Go to 'start here' and write your words in and then press the green button to play games. There are a number of different games to play, all using your words. Enjoy.
